Our History
Deep Roots on Bingley Road
The shop at 213 Bingley Road has been a fixture of the Shipley and Saltaire community for years. Barbering has a long legacy on this street—neighbouring shops like Randall's have been cutting hair in the area since the 1970s, contributing to a rich tradition of local grooming.
Golden Barbers is Born — 2023
The shop was established in 2023 by Daner, an Iranian-born barber who had been part of the local community since 2016. It quickly became known for its colorful storefront and unique mascot—Sura the cat, who famously greeted customers at the door.
New Management Era — 2025
In December 2025, Golden Barbers officially transitioned to new management. This change brought a renewed focus on high-end modern techniques while maintaining the shop's welcoming, neighbourhood feel. We've introduced specialised services like sharp skin fades and traditional hot towel shaves, positioning the shop as a destination for both clean trims and luxurious grooming.
