Walking In vs Booking Online — Which Is Better?

1 March 2026

Both work. Here's when to use each.

We get this question a lot, usually from people standing at the door checking if there's a wait. So here's the honest answer.

Walk-ins

Best for: spontaneous cuts, when you're already in the area, when you don't care about waiting.

Walk-in means first come, first served. If we're quiet, you're straight in the chair. If it's Saturday afternoon, you might wait 20 minutes. We don't take names on a list — if you're in the shop, you're in the queue.

Peak times are Saturday all day, weekday evenings after 4pm, and Sunday mornings. If you want to avoid a wait as a walk-in, come Tuesday or Wednesday mid-morning.

Online booking

Best for: guaranteed time slots, anyone who hates waiting, busy people.

You pick your service, pick your time, put your name and number in, done. Takes about 30 seconds. No account, no deposit, no card needed. You pay at the shop when you arrive.

Booked customers get priority — if you're booked for 2pm, we're ready for you at 2pm. No waiting behind walk-ins.

Our recommendation

If you're flexible and nearby, walk in. If you've got somewhere to be after, book. It really is that simple.

We're open 9am-6:30pm, 7 days a week at 213 Bingley Road, Saltaire. Whichever way you come in, you're getting the same cut.
